Environmental Waste Controls is a Waste Management Company.  and we actively manage a variety of waste steams to help reduce the total costs borne by our customers through diverting a significant portion of their waste to recycling, reuse or third party buyers.

Founded in 1993 by Bill Edwards, the current chairman, we operate civic amenity waste recycling sites for local authorities, waste contract management for private sector clients and also undertake waste transport and disposal.  

We sell and services compactors, balers, shredders, bins, bin pushers and tippers.

Nothing Goes to Waste 

We are passionate about recycling and reuse, and our local authority Household Waste Recycling Centres achieve some of the best environmental performance in the country.

Our team of Recycling Advisors actively help site visitors to identify and separate the different types of waste that we can recycle.

We aim is to help our customers to recycle their waste at source saving them disposal costs, protecting the environment and enhancing their business efficiency.

Everything we do is with the aim to enable our customers to reduce the economic and environmental cost of waste by disposing, reusing and recycling to protect and enhance the natural environment.

Environmental Waste Controls operates through three divisions:

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC)

Managing Local Authority sites and the associated waste for clients such as Leicestershire County Council and The South London Waste Management Partnership.

Contracted Waste Management (CWM)

Contracted Waste Management is for industrial and commercial customers such as Hilton Hotels and the NHS.

Materials Rehandling Facilities

Our primary focus is to divert as much waste as possible away from landfill.  We motivate our staff, bring in equipment and organise our logistics to achieve recycling rates as high as 85%.

We have Material Recycling Facilities in Knowsley - Merseyside, East Kilbride - Scotland, South London and a waste management operation based in Lyon, France.
