At Work

All Environmental Waste Controls staff are trained in the health and safety aspects of dealing with waste and they continue to receive refresher training on a regular basis.

Our team members operate across different customer sites as part of their day to day activities.

The Company supports all of its people through development and succession planning, with a preference to promoting internally wherever possible. We recruit local people who are customer focused and motivated to protect and improve the natural environment.

We recognise the value of training and our aim is to use every resource available to promote and encourage our people.  New employees are supported and integrated into the company through effective leadership and induction training.  By nurturing our people, we have been extremely successful in increasing skill levels and all employees are encouraged and sponsored to gain further academic qualifications and skills, for which they may be financially rewarded.

All new employees receive training that includes a Health & Safety awareness session relating to legislation, duties of employees and hazard awareness relating to their area of work.  Employees are then advised of the locations and availability of key Health and Safety documentation and other information relevant to their duties, tasks and responsibilities.

Environmental Waste Controls has a Training & Development Manager who has developed a training and skills matrix to allow the monitoring and refresher training programmes to be introduced to ensure all our people are regularly updated on the knowledge and skills to undertake their role.

It is our policy to treat our people fairly and encourage them, through the use of technology, to add value to our contracts.  All our people are highly motivated, trained, totally competent and multi-skilled.
